My new niche: Diablo 3

As you all know, Diablo 3 was released last week. I have long been a fan of Blizzard’s Diablo game series from Diablo, Diablo II, Diablo II Expansion. Now the long awaited Diablo 3 is finally here.

To leverage on the current interest on the Diablo 3 game, I decided to start on the Diablo niche. Hopefully, with all the hype around, its will help to attract greats tons of traffic.

So heres the list of things I had done last week:
1. Created a free Diablo 3 ebook
2. Came out with my website diablo3guidetips.com
3. Created my fan page facebook.com/diablo3guidetips
4. Did some blog posts
5. Setup my email campaign
6. Setup my opt-in form

Still plenty of things to do this week. I will concentrate on traffic generation, OTO page, TY page.

Wish me luck!
Dan

Nice work. Getting started is half the battle, and it looks like you’ve hit the ground running. What types of things are you doing to generate traffic? Also how competitive is the niche and keyword you are targeting with your domain name?

      Hi Kevin,

I think really thought of these. I just feel that there should be a great demand for new players now since its a new game. Lets see if I can tap into some of these. I already got my domain name with the keywords guide and tips inside. Hopefully it turns out well. I will be looking at the traffic generation techniques covered by Alex in his course, and also from the FB fan page.

Talk about a passionate niche! Gaming is huge!

A quick google keyword check shows 2400 global monthly searches for “diablo 3 guide” phrase match and low competition. I think you’re on to something.

I wish I knew something about video games – other than pong, that is.

    Hi Dan,

Good to see you have choosen a niche you are interested in and I would assume has a large market, couldn’t be better. So many people fail by choosing a niche that they are not really interested in, this makes things a lot harder.

    Good luck
